Male Black Diamond Pup Grow-out thread

Somewhat recently acquired genetics. This male BD pup is around 6"-7" I'm guessing around 7+ months old. He has strong eclipse BD genes from mom. Suspected father is eclipse with TI (thousand island). Much like the one in my current avatar.

Observations: The pup still has a very pale base for its age, looks dark in the photos but lighter grey in person. It has changed very little if at all since birth, so it could start breaking and morphing soon. I expect eclipse BD traits (already expressing) which both parents carry, with a slight chance of thousand Island TI a trait one parent carries (fingers crossed). A thread to track growth and progression. To show how much or sometimes how little rays can change over time. All you can do is keep the water clean and enjoy the ride

I'll update every couple months to track progress.

Thank you T! These kinds of threads work out well for me. I don't part with many fish and I'm forgetful. So by the time I remember the thread to update it, a couple months have gone by and it works out perfectly

Never too late to start a thread on her! She's a pretty girl and probably not done changing yet. I've got an 8 year old that still gets some random new spots from time to time
