In my years of experience keeping cichlids i have observed that, for some reasons, a couple of my male cichlids eg. umbees, only show the tip of their tools during spawning.
Sure, they went through the motion with their mates. Fertilised eggs if any, are few.
i m not sure if the low fertility is attributed to their male tubes not fully descending during the act.
Has anyone experienced the same? Any reasons for that and is there any way to correct this?
