3 Spawns, No issues before. And today she comes out of her cave, (She has Eggs currently and has been holed up in the cave) and the majority of her tail is gone. I know that it will grow back if she's left alone. But is this normal Con behavior? Only fish in their tank capable of doing the Damage is the Male Con. He hasn't gone near the cave and she's basically in the entry of the cave and charges him when he comes near, and he retreats to the other side of the tank behind the Mag Drive that's in their.

Any Ideas?

Mike

Cons are naturally aggressive, especially during spawning. If there are no other fish in the tank, sometimes they turn on eachother. That's why IMO it is very important to house with them a target fish; a fish that is hardy and somewhat durable and able to take a beating. Having target fish will enable the pair to form a stronger bond; by keeping them occupied they won't have time to turn on each other.
