male dovii?

I was told to start a new thread to get better feedback on my new question. Ok guys, my friend wants to give me this fish for one of the girls? Is this a boy or another female dovii? The fish is approximately an inch smaller than the girls. Should i grow him out before putting it in with the female if i he turns out to be a male?

Yeah, thanks, i'm thinking about setting up a 350g or bigger horse trough in my garage and set it up like a pond. I think these dovii's would love it. What do you think?

definite male and in my opinion it's better that the female is larger. you may have to remove the female for a bit and put the male in the tank and let him establish himself and de-stress from the move, then replace the female.

is she in the pond already or is that a future plan?

Still in the planning stages, depending on my finances, i would probably get the pond in the garage. As for now, they will be in the 125g. Thanks.
