male dovii

today im purchasing some juvie male doviis,and putting them in a 55 as a growout.I will eventually pick the biggest male and put it in a 150 gallon for a growout till i get my 265 gallon which will be a graduation present.

what should i feed the juvie doviis

i was thinking cichlid gold.

feed them cichlid gold,bloodworms,finely chopped krill,very occasional beefheart.[bought in frozen cubes is soft when defrosted.]and some cichlid flake.i always find dry foods flake/pellets as main meals is best unless u want them to get to fussy.just mix it up,more juviis u have the stronger the competition for food.good luck.

you could feed it a large varitety of foods such as bennets suggested, but i find that it just makes the fish keeping more complicated, and i just feed pellets and the occasinal snack of a earthworm, or something of that nature.
