Male flowerhorn fry?

I’ve got a flowerhorn from a local breeder with great genes for the male but the female has no kok. I was wondering if my flowerhorn is a male. He spends his quality time toward the top of the tank. He or she eats a lot. Please give me any mentions of comments about my Flowerhorn. Thank you!

Your Flowerhorn is to young to give you a real answer. Only time will tell. Maybe update us in a month or so and then I can give a good answer. Awesome quality fry though. It has a nice straight flowerline.

Hard to tell gender so early, it is a nice specimen though so either way should be an impressive adult

I agree with everyone else that this fish is wayyyyyy to young to tell gender. I will say that with how far back his dorsal is positioned that many times that can be a good sign for the development of a nice big water kok. Many of my babies that look like that end up having a big kok. Keep the updates coming.
