Male GT right?

that yould be a royal green terror aka a gold saum, def not a true green terror. and yes it looks like a male.
yeah I knew it wasn't a true GT. It's finally coming into it's own after not growing for quite a while. I think it had internal parasites when he was a youngster. Just about to push 4" now. Still small but looking better then when I first got him:
Don't remember. It's been about a year now. $6 maybe? It was only about 1" when I bought it. And I only posted that last pic to show the huge difference since the time I bought it.
I don't know what a "Royal" Green Terror is but your fish looks like a male Gold Saum (GT) to me. I just lost my 5" female GT (Gold Saum also) and yours has a much longer dorsal, and is more brightly colored than she was.
So I'd say male...Be patient and you'll get lots of replies

its another more common name for a gold saum. hense the aka a gold saum.
hold up, then whats the dif betwen a gold saum and a green terror? the orange fins? I thought the white finned was a different one like marys cichlid or something.
all the aequidens watever species look the same to me anyway, but are the temperment between the gold saum different than that of a green terror?
because mine is so peaceful my severum who is smaller than him pushes him around.
