Male hystrix max size

Those of you that know or have kept male hystrix what max sizes have you seen and what growth rate have u encountered?

Mine was fully mature at collection from wild. Then in captivity either 6-8 yrs before it died. 13.5” disc

Wow for a male?... thought they stayed a little smaller... how big do you think he was when you got him?

I only had him for about 5-6 months. Got him to breed a female motoro who was ready to go, maybe 2 weeks before we lost him to unexplained death. I figured because he was pretty old.

My breeder male was wild caught. I think he was around 10 in. and really didn't grow much in the later years.

They usually max out around 10-12¨.
