Male is bigger than female

I have a 14" female marble motoro,is it safe to put her together with my 17" male?

I would say yes. Just watch to make sure he does not stress her out.

I've had bigger males than females - it's obviously ideal the other way around but sometimes it's hard to do.

As Scott said i'd just be very cautious and make sure he don't stress her out, males chase females anyway but usually the female can defend herself but now she's not as powerful as the male it's easy to become overwhelmed.
