My jack dempsey's have had another batch of eggs. She laid a lot of eggs. I watched him go over to the eggs, and he acted like he was doing something, but again the eggs don't look like they are any good again. They are clear with a white spot on them. Is it possible there is something wrong going on, or is he just not sure what he's supposed to do yet?

Just let him keep getting practice with each spawn he'll get the hang of it

You're female laid 2 sets of eggs within 2 weeks? Are you positive the eggs were infertile? What size are your JD's? What size tank? Tank mates?

Male is about 8 1/2", female is 6". She has been laying eggs a week and a half apart. They are in a 55 gallon by themselves. But, good news! I looked in there today and to my shock there was JD fry! a lot of them! I have no idea where they came from because the last batch of eggs went bad, and I never saw them lay any more, but I know have some JD fry!
