My female Wolf acted like she was going to let the Jag near her eggs to fertilize them, but after about 30 minutes she attacked him. Is it normal for the male and female to lip lock during breeding? Should I seperate them, or will they breed after a while???:feedback:

lip locking means they are testing each others strength for breeding, all parachromis do this. if they are satisfied with what they find, there mateing process will end and they will become a pair, then the male will fertilize your girls eggs.

it does occasinally get very aggresive between male and female (at the start of courtship) so keeping a divider on hand is a must, just in case you need to throw in the towel if any major damage gets done.

i was planning to post, for you to be prepared to see lip locking in your other thread, but your part 2 beat me to it.
