Male Jewel

Ok well I have this very pretty male jewel cichlid. He is blood red and covered in blue spots. I would really love to breed him but every female I put in with him he beats up immediately. Any suggestions?

what size tank is he in? maybe try putting in a divider to keep them separated for the first few days and then start with only letting them be together when you can supervise lol if the tank is big enough you could also add several females at once so he can have a variety to choose from and initial aggression will be spread out and then once he chooses return the spare females GOOD LUCK my pair have been laying every 3 days but keep on eating the eggs i think once my other fry grow out and i can move them to a smaller tank by themselves where they dont have to worry about other bigger fish getting their eggs they will hopefully be more successful

I got lucky and was given a proven pair. My fry are growing like weeds. Hope to move them soon so the parents can hatch me out some more.
