Male Managuense..Jaguar cichlid.

Is it just luck getting a male with this pattern? or is it a wild caught or f1?

He was LFS impulse buy purchase I made back in November when out of town....cant confirm his line so it was some luck involved....

I was thinking of importing a pair of wild jaguars, it would cost a far bit.

We have a lot of local jag breeders in the Akron area. I have raised a few of them and wasnt terribly impressed. Funny enough though, I got one from Pets Mart because it was like $2.00. Long story short, it turned out to be the best looking jag that iv ever owned. Im not sure but there seem to be 2 varieties?? A darker, more spotted jag with violet coloration & a brighter jag, more golden /w stronger pattern and blue coloration.
