male motoro stingray - Long Island, NY - PU only.

What's up guys? I hate to do this but I am doing it for the rays sake. I had three rays in my 125 gallon (2 motoro/1 retic) and have lost two of the three rays already and I wanna make sure this one find a good home, it deserves better.

The ray is perfectly healthy, a little over 5" in diameter and eating bloodworms, frozen krill and earthworms. However, he spends a lot of time buried in the sand due to the alligator gar I have housed in my tank. I listed my alligator gar for sale but I am having a hard time getting rid of him so I figured it was best to try and sell the ray so it could have a better home. The ray is currently separated from the gar but is still stressed due to the large tank mate.

I am looking to get $150 for him and with this price I will throw in the bloodworms and frozen krill I have for him (almost an entire thing of frozen krill that costs $20).

Good luck on the sale... If it where me I would have made that gar into a garscicle a feew weeks ago.

He looks like he is in good shape someone should pick him up for sure
 
This ray managed to avoid the gar and stayed buried unlike the other motoro who at 4.5" thought he could swim past the gars mouth as if nothing would happen. Curiosity killed the ray sadly. This ray has a perfect disk and is in good health just stressed being next to the gar. Once the gar goes he will be very active again but it is hard to sell a 17" gator gar.
 
I dont understand... 1st u try to get rid of the gar to keep the rays, now trying to get rid of the ray.... just kill the gar and keep the ray.... glws tho, they do deserve a better place
 
How long have you had him? wild/ captive?

If everybody just KILLED the fish they didn't want anymore, whole species would be in trouble. Sometimes, you need to have a heart man. :ROFL:
