Hey my Oscar, just recently dropped it's sex organ. I have been reading a lot and trying to figure out if it is a male or a female. I have heard it is not able to be told by just looking at the markings, fins, etc. And that the only way to tell is by looking at it's sex organ or if it lays eggs. I think it is male because they are saying the sex organ will look like a thorn or spike if it is a male. Or a tube if it is a female. I have nothing to compare it to though, so I was wondering if you all could help me out.

IF that is the breeding tube extended, it's a male, but most oscars look like that, most of the time. A male would not drop his tube for no reason. Females would. Are there other oscars in the tank ?
