male or female convict?

i got a convict for $2.99 an my local pet shop. an was wondering if its a male or female. the best i can describe it is that it has some orange behind its gills.

i would try to breed them since ther so cheap here but its in with my Bichir an idk wat would happen if i tried that. since she is female thats prolly y she doesnt come out of the dinosaur skull i got in my tank.

THERE IS A REASON GOD MADE CONVICTS SO SMALL. THAT IS BECAUSE IF THEY WERE LARGE THE WORLDS WATER WOULD ONLY BE FULL OF CONVICTS CASUE THEY ARE CRAZY LITTLE BASTEDS
