Male or female Dovii?

Hi there. Haven't posted in a while, but recently aquired a tiny Dovii fry, that is now at approximatly 2"- But unsure what sex it is

First off, it is relentlessly attacking a 3 times as large male Convict, which leads me to believe it could be a male, but having never owned Dovii before, i honestly have no clue.

Also, am i right in assuming it's a costa rican variant?

Male for sure and he's gonna be sweet. As for which varient it is I couldn't tell You. Its easier to tell with wilds but I've raised F1 heridia and can't really tell the difference other than females. Beautiful male either way

notice the freckles starting to pop up and look at the gill plates, its a MALE 100%
