i got this little guy about a month ago and all ready its putting on the pounds. the fins are becoming blue and around the mouth blues and greens are showing. its around 3 - 3.5 inches. thanks

Looks like a young male to me....By the time they are six inches or so long, male dovies start to develop spots, and turn a really nice blue around the edge of their body, often going to purple in the centre depending on the fishes mood. Males also begin to develop the hump. Females on the other hand show more of the olive and green, with none of the spotting.... Hope this helps
