Male or female fh?

hmmm... could be male... not sure. Is there a black splotch on its dorsal fin? if so, then chances of it being a female go up.

Spot/blotch no but it has a thick black stripe in the middle of the d fin going from bottom to top.

hmmm... id guess female then, but it would only be a guess... the only reliable way is to vent the fish, but i have no experience there.

what i've been told is that if there is black in the dorsal just behind the gill line or whatever its a girl.

I used the black spot method on another fh I have and it is a female but this one the stripe can only be seen sometimes but it has the same body and head shape as the other one.

This is my other female fh. I dont know why but her flowerline and color faded. She was redish pinkish when I got her.
