Male or female jack dempsey

oh yea hes also at 10inches and bulky wich leads me to believe male???
 
Have you had it the whole time and never seen it lay eggs? Cause thatd make me think male. It's definitely a tough fish to tell, It does have spangling going down like a female but its more spotted than most females, most females seem to be more streaky and less spotty. Male or female I'd think it'd still be able to spawn although harder to pair up at this age. It's a great looking fish either way.

I'll lean towards male but you need more opinions.

i think its a female and i used to own a JD that was a female and she was bulky like yours and she was 9 1/2".Then i had a male that was 6" and he didnt get any bigger then that but the did breed once.
