Male or female Nic?

Originally thought I had male, but looks like the my nic is pairing up with my male convict. You think make or female from these pictures?

Female? Can you get a closer profile pic. Here is my female for comparison...(Funny thing is that my female convict warmed up to her, not sure what that was about, lol)

Beautiful female, and I've seen some before so was thinking I had a male. Little by little my nic is getting more of the fluorescent blue on dorsal and beat head. The body to tail is getting more orange. I'll try to get a better picture. Besides color, is there another characteristic that distinguishes make from female?

Tough to tell from your photos. In my experience, males show spots on their unpaired fins, whereas females do not.

I believe the males have some red coloration on the rear of the dorsal fin

Spotting on the fins is the best way I've found to tell here's my pair for reference
