Hello all. I want your opinion on this fish if its a male or a female. Its about 3.5" at the moment. It has a hump like a male but then it also has the black blotch on the dorsal fin. Thanks in advance.

I had a female like that her kok was huge even bigger than that I only knew because she laid eggs... Vent her I'm curious to know
if I have to guess, I would say it a female. as others stated, venting is the only sure way or put a male next to it to see whether it want to clean out a spot for laying eggs or not.

Ihsnshaik-You definitely had a nice female with a good size kok. Maybe if it likes a male its head might get bigger.
Simon_fh- I will vent it when I get a chance. I had it divided between two brother males for 3 months now which it hasn't laid eggs. Maybe it doesn't like its siblings.

K_Cichlids-I tried that already for months now. I will test it with another male (petsmart kamfa) to see if it lays eggs to determine the sex besides venting. Thanks
