Not sure what sex Ive got here 3 years old 23 cm had it since a bub super vicious my hand had a run in with its teeth last week (nice hole in hand)vicious thing, got to love him/her. Im guessing female cause no hump. Now the shape of bit of fin showing infront of where the vent is, is pretty much what the vent looks like close up.

and do you reckon a red devil or midas or cross breed

vent says male, but since you do not know the origins and it seems to look to have abit of both then one must accept it is a mutt as it is not from a reputable source. Very nice RD/Midas, he has come along way.

Thanks I was mostly interested in the sex. I dont want to breed was just interested in what others thought. I think he is just gorgeous but so angry, very big personality. I got him from my local fish store who said it was a red devil when I got him way back when he was a bub, but you never do know.
