male or female red hook

hi anybody able to assist in the way to identifying the gender of the red hook

How would you tell the gender? What are the phyiscal differences? I have 2 that are either re deciding who is alpha or their spawning?

The anal fin is very very different on different sexes (sexual dimorphic) and males are much larger/thicker if your fish are the same ages. If you are having trouble seeing any difference then you will have both the same sex. Post up a photo and others can sex them for you. I was only able to spawn with hormones so they are probably just squabbling.

The males have a wavey hook and the females long and straight ive spawned and reared young RH.
