Hi guy, can help identify male or female of this red terror,size about 3 inch, thx!

Normally, a dark area in the dorsal fin indicates a female.
Also a more torpedo shaped profile indicates female.
Without a male in the tank, a female may look like this.
add a male, and her colors can change dramatically, same female as above
males "usually" have a lack of dark color in the dorsal, and a much steeper profile

I guess it is female from the explanation of dark region in the dorsal fin and the torpedo shaped too
Because at 3", mature traits may not be apparent...if I was pressed...I do see a bit of dark in the dorsal, and the profile is (so far) torpedo shaped. At this point, it looks female to me.
But a clearer shot with the dorsal extended would be of help.
