Here is my f1 rio mag blue umbee. This umbee i had with a group of his siblings and was by far the most dominant and ended up killing the one i left with him/her and sold the rest since they were being pretty bullied. I am hoping this is a male but is hard to tell sometimes because i thought he would have more blue coloring in its body by now. It is pushing the 5" mark now. It's finnage is also starting to elongate which is also signs of a male. This fish also grew much faster than all the others which is another sign of a male so with all those things i am thinking and hoping i have a male. What do you all think? I have bright led lights on this tank so it makes the fish look a lot lighter like a female at times. i turned on my blue lights with a mixture of white lights at the end of the video to try and show more of his blue coloring.

also i added a new darker sand with my white sand and this umbees colors seemed to get a little washed out. when i had it in my other tank with black sand its colors showed more blue and looked much more like a male. i have been told its a male but its colors arent always showing that way.

will add more pics in a few weeks. it doesnt have the body shape of a female nor the growth rate of one so im guessing and hoping its a male. will know for sure in the next 3 to 4 months.
