Male or female severums

Hi,
I bought these 2 red spotted severums 2 months back. After a couple if days the bigger one was bullying and chasing the smaller one all the time. So I put the bigger severum in a separate tank for 2 weeks n re introduced it today. The two have been lip locking for more than 10 mins. Am really concerned. Could anyone pls help.

Supposedly Males only have the facial markings. I have 2 severum. One red which is my avatar pic. He(assuming from facial marks) is about 6 inches. Had him a year. The other is a baby rio tapajos. If both males then lip locking is likely fighting. I think I read somewhere that lip locking can be breeding activity for severum.
