Male or female super red severum?

What do I have? Boy or girl?

I did try Google. Super reds seem harder to tell.
 
Super reds are hard because both males and females have striated pattern. Usually on females it’s tightly-packed so that it almost forms a solid red/orange color on the face and side. With males the striation is more spread out, giving them an overall more patterned appearance.

Fin length has nothing to do with sex in Heros. Females get pointed anal and dorsal fins as well, which can grow and extend past the caudal fin just as males.

Here is a video of one of Jim Cumming’s pairs. The female is the more solid-colored one on the right at the beginning. As you see she and the male both have patterning and long fins.
