I dont even remotely want to sound like a smart ass to you (for helping me out here). But in my first post I state that I have been told it is a male-I got this confirmation over two years ago now and just plain forgot and began to ? myself is all-So I wanted to ask the ? again to reasure myself-
I believe to have a hybrid only because one of the "flowers" is out of place-Maybe I am wrong for thinking this way-
As for the quality issue-I stand by what I say-I know darn good and well he is a quality fish-Maybe not high-But certainly no low grade crap here-I have been asked to breed him from certain people but he just wont take to tank mates-Period......Oh yeah and for ne one that asks-He is currently right at the 13 to 14 inch mark

You aren't wrong for assuming it's a hybrid. With hybrids being so prevalent in the hobby, unless you 100% KNOW that it is a pure trimac, it can't be assumed that a fish is because it looks like one. Even if the fish is 99% trimac and 1% something else, it still must be considered a hybrid...

PoopSmart - I don't think that first picture you posted is of a trimac, I've never heard of any having "pearls", especially as pronounced as those seem to be. That second one definitely does look like a pure though...both of them are nice fish regardless :naughty:

And yeah I agree it's a male :)

LOL...
Thats funny AK. I know exactly what was going through your mind because I would of been thinking the same thing for somebody calling my bad ass fish "low grade"...
"Uhhh F***You dickhead."
Thats just how the whole FH grading thing works.
Awsome fish ak.

it an male red dragon...it got agood marking.. to be truth it an low grade fh no head ,no color , but if you lovethat fh then it dont matter .
............... idont think it a trimac either

Looks are very decieveing in these pics-

Lets see here-I will spell it out for those of you that dont have a clue at what I got going on here-

You refer to my fishes color-Does one ever think it could be the lighting he is currently under that is washing out all of his color-Take your nice pretty guy and toss him under some sctnic lights and see what happens-Or how about striaght grow lights for plants and see how much that will also wash out the coloration of a fish-That is exactly what Is happening to mine here-As one can see from my older pic-He has some nice coloration-Not the nicest I will grant you-But it's their-Some please know what the conditions are before one goes and calls one fish "low grade"-

As far as the KOK goes-How many trimacs you see with huge KOKs-Not too damn many-Also my pic is taken at an angle.I can assure you his KOK has at least double from when the older pic was taken also.....Look at the beuty pictured from rapps-Not a huge KOK,Colorless, very little to none on the pearls-

So if your still not convinced-I believe nothing is going too then..
Everyone have a nice day-
I got the answer I was loking for and a few other's.......
