What do you guys think? First 2 pics are the same fish, around 8" or so and the last one is about 3" maybe a hair over. Boy or girl?

I really hope it is a male, it gets really dark bigger spots in the middle of it's body, unless it's starting to change and spot up like a male idk. Usually looks female to me and when I looked today it really looked male. I'm almost positive that it has layed eggs before tho too but that could have been my O's and it was protecting them? I am so damn confused!!
I have a female salvini and the jag and her go at it all the time when it comes breeding time. Could this be because it's a female or would a male fight with a female over territory?
