-the size of kok, usually males have bigger koks.
-the spots on the dorsal fins, usually females have these spots. males dont have em, but this only works in a patterned flowerhorn.
-also by venting, if the anal is a 'U' shape, it's a female . but if it has a 'V' shape, it's a male .

I've kept them for years. Maybe I'm blind, but, it's a guess to me. I had a "male" lay eggs last year!

From the looks I agree it's a guess


it looks 8" +, if it hasn't laid eggs yet it's probably a male...
