You need to take a picture from above. Like if you have the fish in a bucket.

Most people can ID on body and head shape as well as the size of their odontodes

If you just got the fish let it settle in for a weeks before you move it again. Nice looking fish

Possibly a female. Fatten up the fish for a few months and that should make a big difference.

Try and compare pics online, female pseudacanthicus are really thick in the mid section and males body shape is more straight from head to tail.

L25 females are very to pick out. It looks like a male to me. Non-dominate males will not have any growth on their fins. The male in the photo took over a year to figure out because it would share a cave.

If you still think it's a female and want be to be sure ship it to me on loan. If it's a male I'll know in a week. If it might be a female it might take a month or two. (Emojs didn't come thru)

God I would kill to get a pleco like these... so beautiful, but I don't even know where to get the scarlet plecos... want one so bad. I have always wanted to do a pleco only aquarium, just fill it full of different pleco
