Ty. She will be in a 75 could she have any tank mates or are they just as aggressive as males
I have not had enough experience to say one way or the other. My suspicions are that yes she would be as nasty and have to be solo. There is no hurt in trying if you have a back up plan for said fish. Tho, from my experience with my Sagittae so far I wouldn't count on being able to and be prepared to have a nice solo Wetpet.
This is my first go with Amphilophus of any sort. Now I will say the time I had to temporarily home Goldie, Caspers second wife, in my 55 to recoup from Casper she did eat 15 neon tetras, and take over half the tank keeping a breeding pair of HRPs to the other side. This is at 3in in size. Also the incident with Caspers new wives going Freddy Kruger in my other 125.
In my opinion I would not even bother. Every trial I had with Casper has failed, yes he is Male, but I suspect that females are just as nasty. If you just go off her being solo you can spend that other fish money into her decor, or even shoot for a 125gal and try a breeding pair.
I have learned the hard way over these last few years that combos seldom work and if they due its because there is enough space for the fish to be comfy. In the wild fish can get away from each other, in a glass box they can't. That Devil will just keep attacking till its victim wears down, gets tired. Or what normally happens is the Devil waits for them to sleep. Casper eat four 3in Spanner barbs over night doing this.
