I have found it difficult to sex my flowerhorn cichlid. I've always had difficulty seeing vent anatomy with light pigmented cichlids. I saw a video once where this guy had a purple colored die he would rub on the fishes vent region with a q-tip that help define the anatomy. Not sure what that stuff is?
