Male ray's disc damage - advice needed

Came home this afternoon and noticed my male ray's disc is damaged on the edges, not sure if they are bite marks from the female, however if they are bite marks why would she be biting him? No signs from other tank mates harrasing him and very surprised to see this.

So it's normal behaviour for the female to be biting the male? Ive noticed her biting him just randomly, like if he happens to be in the direction she wants to go in she will just creep up and bite him so he swims off quickly to get out of her way... makes me rage when i see it happen!

Thats fully normal. Salt and pristine water will heal that quick.
