this is how you tell if your red hook is male or female

males have these orange blocthes females dont

sorry fot the bad photo these guys are the most skittish fish i have ever owned and they never stop moving and most of the time its moving real fast

I believe this to be true,i just bought a huge Red Hook(about 8 inches long) and he has all these red blotches on his body.The rest of my hooks dont.
