Male RTM growth rate from 4.5"-8"?

So I recently picked up a male rtm and he's about 4.5" and in a tank by himself and over filtered and doing every other day 20% wc and power feeding hikari bio gold. I want to move him to my 500g and to safely do so he needs to be about 8". How long do you think and what can be done to speed up growth? Temp is 80.

I'm thinking half inch or more per month, so 3 to 6 months....
never seen or heard of faster growth than this for these fish...

If it helps - my female went from 5"to 8.5" in 8months with 50% water changes a week& feeding a mixture of NLS, Omega1& Hikari gold.

feed lots and three 50% changes per week and youll have abeast in no time

Try adding, live crickets, meal, and wax worms to his diet. I had great results with this and pellets.
