Ok so I did just post pics of this guy, but now hes pairing with one of my big parrots so I'm wondering...
He is a red texas, but is mostly not faded (and at this size I am not sure if he is going to fade much more), so would he more likley be fertile than a faded male red texas? I have no reason to separate them other than theyre pretty much hijacking my 55 with their agression (got him in with some vieja so they are good).... but what are the chances the eggs will hatch if they lay them?

after lots of failed parrot x midas attempts, frankly I am tired of not getting fry from my hybrid pairings

its this guy

thoughts?

nice fish...... that being said only time will tell, if it pops there gonna be pretty nice fish, i wish i could find a decent parrot up here for my fh or my texas

and to mellow out aggression....... get a bigger tank, my rd devils were both "mean" and i was advised over and over again not to throw them in either togather or with anything, the male would literally attack the glass in his old 55 , when i brought them home i decided .... f..... it and threw them in my big tank same time with a bunch of other much smaller fish ... and they are totally different fish now they have proper living conditions,

think of it like solitary confinement if you were in your bathroom all day 24 - 7 365 you get pretty nasty too, livable true but not comfortable....
my 2 cents

That guy looks sweet. I personally believe that non faders have a better chance of being fertile and will be testing several males myself. The only way to know is to try. Good luck.
