Got a small pleco Thursday night for a buck and thought i'd sneak it into my small rhom tank. Rhom's. 3.5, pleco was probably 3". 20 gallon tank, driftwood, left over flower pots from the convict breeding and some fake plants. Dropped the pleco in with the cover of night.

This morning there's only the pleco head left. RIP buddy.

I knew the risk but just thought i'd share.

Sorry the infiltration failed. I love plecos. Im sure he is proudly basking in fish valhalla.

OMG!!!!

u DID that and you KNEW the risk??? bit cheap wasnt it?

lol sorry.

sorry lil plec x

i thought with it being so small and never being feed live since i've had it (of course we all know the fish stores do) it'd have a chance. It was still alive last night though. Watched it eat a wafer just before lights out.

Epic Fail.

I tried something similar with my first rhom (4" blue diamond) and a small bullhead cat fish (~2-3") in a 55g with lots of plants and two big driftwoods and with same result. actually I think I found just half the head.
