A Lee's Summit man is providing food for himself by growing vegetables and raising fish in his one-car garage.Dave Howe said he started the hydroponic and aquaponic system as a hobby, and it continued to grow.
Howe is growing cherry tomatoes, broccoli, lettuce and cauliflower. He is also raising goldfish and tilapia.Howe said the garden cost him $1,500 to build. Because it's indoors, he can grow vegetables and raise fish year-round.
