I never understood that...why on earth would you pull your fish out of the water and man-handle the poor thing just for the sake of a photo? Talk about stressing your fish out. They look much better IN the water if you ask me.

Taking the fish out of the water sometimes will show all the colors while trying to take a decent picture of the fish swimming around just doesn't show. If held correctly shouldn't stress the fish out too much.
