But, if you are truly interested in any crocodilian I would suggest visiting the local library and becoming as educated as possible about their biology, husbandry, and current techniques used to manage adult specimens...
... then find some volunteer work at a zoo / sanctuary to get at least one year of real experience working with the animals....
...then build a proper enclosure for an adult specimen...
... then have it inspected and approved by local government wildlife authorities to obtain proper permits or licensing as applicable
... then locate a source for economical feed
... and finally have a reliable (professional) source ready to take the adult animal off your hands once you decide you can no longer keep it
This may sound dramatic, but if you are serious then this is the proper and responsible way to go about it....
...of course all the guys trying to sell you one will say different.
