so I was buying some prime from PetsMart. This older couple was looking at some neon tetra's, which I love so I start talking to the man about how good they look.

Well the lady chimed in about how she has a tank that kills all fish, so I said thats strange, and asked how long had it been setup. "For 3 days"

I explained how BB & cylcling work and how they can use a product like Prime or something else to help the fish that are in the tank now. They where very greatful and said that no one had ever told them, which I believe since not even 5 months ago I was them and no one told me.

Thanks to MFK we both know a little more about fish keeping now.

Nice work. I gotta say I was impressed by a petsmart worker today. I was in buying two small rubberlip pleco's and he asked if my tank was big enough. I told him to keep up the good work and to steer rookies away from the pacus. He said he tells newbies to go to the local mall and check out their big tank to see exactly how big a pacu will get. I was impressed.

I hear people having uninformed conversations about their tanks in fish stores sometimes. Sometimes it is them talking about getting fish that are too big for their tank, and sometimes it is them receiving wrong info from the employees. Sometimes I didn't butt in the conversation when I should have.

i feel like whenever i visit petsmart that i want to sit down with their fish associates and have them open a book and me teach on a dry erase board how fishkeeping works lol.
