i have a large about a 9 to 10 inch managuense cichlide and a 4 inch salvini cichlide in a 75 gallon tall tank they have mated before layed eggs and they hatched but the babbys must have gone eatin by the other fish in the tank but they are starting to do it again i was wondering if anybody hase ever had that done before and if anybody got any ideas on the situation.

this might seem a little off topic, but how big does the salvini, i have read that they get 12" or so, but the biggest one i have seen was 5", mine is about 4-4.5
you should fish out a few fry, and grow them out. im intrested in which traits they'll take over.
THE SALVANI IS SAID TO GET 6 INCHES AND I AM GOING TO TRY TO FISH THEM OUT BUT ITS SO HARD TO GET THEM IN MY TANK I HAVE ALOT OF HIDING SPOTS BUT THEY STILL GET EATIN PRETTY QUICK THEY DIDENT LAST NOT EVEN A WEAK THE FIRST TIME
when i had a salvini it was a little over 6 so im guesing maybe 8" max? but good luck with the fry hopefully you can ave some each batch they must look pretyt cool!
yeahh im hopping i can get them and save them i am so interested on what they are going to look like i am going to try to take some pics of the fish soon
