managuense cichlids

I was at a fish store before and I saw a few managuense cihlids that looked so different from each other.

Some have a deep violet base color , others a silver base color and even a yellow base color. Some even have different spotting patterns.

Does this have to do with collection location or hybridizing ?

How big do the managuense REALLY get ?

I see all these different max size measurment expectations out there and don't know whos right.

How is spawning these guys ?

I was never really into jags before but after seeing a couple of those violet based guys....Got me thinking.

some probably have different coloring from stress in the full tanks.coloring and patterns of M/F will be different.their growth potential will be different based on:genes,tank size,food,etc...but the profile page here at MFK is accurate.

I was always told it depends on collection point.They all have 1 thing in common .....Aggression !!!

Jags are beautiful fish. They get to be around a foot long plus minus a few inches. Check mine out.

Had this guy for 6 months. Went from 3 inches to 9 inches.
