My lfs has a bunch of them and I was going to order a couple online because I couldn't find any here but now I did but theyre very small and can't sex them what is the earliest I could sex them because I want a male and a female?

About 3" males have violet sheen, black spots on the gill plates and below lateral line, with a more broad mouth. Females will have dark black spotting alond lateral line, more golden in color, any spotting will be lighter, more pointed mouth and plumper belly. Hope this helps
