a couple weeks ago my male jag and female dovii had babies. only a portion of the eggs were fertalized so i thought my chances of keeping any of the fry were slim. well now i have 16 fry growing fast and strong! the dad got sick of the mom so he killed her :( my question is how long can i leave the fry in with dad? will he begin to eat them as they get bigger? thanks

i saw that video! it got me really excited to grow these out. im keeping the first male. heres the mom (dovii) and dad (jag) and fry.

Pull the dad & give him his own tank.
IME the parents like to grab the net on the way out killing any fry you have netted.
 
take out the dad. the fry is a good size to be on its own my jag fry is same size atm but i got both parents in the tank still, the parents are mean as hell! haha
