In the air and I ain't comin down!
I picked up a male Jag to finally get my female a mate. I got the Jag from a local MFK. Thanks PWMIN! ;). After 1 week of acclamation the have already spawned and I have eggs in the tank. I have had a lot of breeding success and wanted to share the great news. Only 14 days and breeding. I am amazed. :D I put them in the breeding tank together on Sunday evening I came home yesterday to this..... :naughty:

Congrats on the spawn. You may want to remove the UGF before the next spawn. The oscars I used to have laid eggs on a UGF, and once they hatched to wigglers they got trapped below it and died.

I second that. If you want the highest survival rate of fry, either go with sand as substrate, so they don't get stuck under gravel, or go bare bottom with sponge filters.

There aren't many eggs there...especially for Managuense but it's a start lol.

There is a mess load of them stuck to the inside of that fake rock there and a lot more in that corner. I just couldn't get a picture of them. I think the ones we see may have not stuck to that wall on the inside of the rock.

"Great job and nice fish! Lose the UGF................."

Thanks for the input all. I have a sponge in the tank. I hook it up as soon as I see eggs.

No pike in the breeding tank. They are in the 100g and the second 55g Grow out tank.

It's just the Dovii pair and the Jag pair w/ divider.
