I think that at a certain age everyone should have to go to a camp out doors someplace for at least a year.I feel like most ppl get so hung up on what they think life expects of us and the best thing could be getting removed from it all completely.I know some of you live in the woods already but i bet you got less chaos too.Maybe not.Im just talkin about the city life chaos and influential bafoons.We just need a break to remember life goes nice and slow if we stop and smell the flowers time to time.I cant believe how many chores and bills and tasks are going through my head right now and i want a freakin break.I know ill be fine but dont we all deserve a year off,lol.Oh well,if they said they are sending me away for year,im going.Hopefully where i can surf.lol.Should be mandatory.It would change some bad kids to different veiws.Even some bad grownups.And heal the anxiety filled good ppl.

IMO every one out of high school should serve their country for a year rather it be millitary, community serve, ect...

Robbing someone a whole year of thier life for a reason a bunch of people around a table thought about is a bad idea. Life should be all up to you, not what someone else thinks is good.

i would hate to be put into the armed forces for a year against my will... I do however "get away from it all" at least once a year and hit the outdoors. usally involving a camping trip to a place called Moreton Island. Sun, beach and beers... no other way to relax IMO.
As for taking a year off... I would do it if i could afford it. I have too many debts that i cant stop working.

Have you ever been snorkeling or diving in the bay? You see some awesome things that you'd think those animals couldnt possibly live down here as its too cold.
Sadly, the longest I've stayed at Moreton is just 3 days.

i know we all get vacations,im just thinking more of a force to snap out of the bad influences in life.Out their you would be forced to do alot of thinking weather it be on politics,discipline,will power,get closer to God,or darwin lol whatever,you know what i mean.Imagine the one day that would finaly come where you start to feel a bit nutts.I picture as much as i love nature and the outdoors,eventualy having a few days of screaming at the sky or you know,kinda loosing it.Then you pull yourself together and start kickin butt.I dont know,sounds good to me.I think it should happen after youve had some time to get really influenced in the world like in your 20s.If its forced too young i think you could have the opposite effect.They might rebel on us.Oh well,sounds good to me.Someone make my next 12 house payments for me,lol.

Yeah, i go diving in the bay alot. i usually camp at Bulwer, Comboyuro Campgrounds and do day trips out to Tangalooma, Curtin Artificial reef, Cherubs Cave, Shag Rock, all great dive sites and loads to see.
The first big shark i ever saw was off Moreton bay, a 3m Bronze Whaler. Quite an expierence.

Where did you stay? you really need more then 3 days to fully see the island.

Im not sure of the locations name but it was on the east side, somewhat to the middle. It was for a school camp and we stayed in a house like building. I visisted the Blue Lagoon, The Lighthouse, Taboganning and did many runs along the beach and did some fishing. I probably did more activites but I cant remember 4 years back.
