Mangainos stocking. 32 in the colony

hey.
i have a breeding colony of 32 maingainos in my 6ftx2ft tank.

9 males 23 females

its a pain in the arse to catch the mums with mouthfuls.

so

i'm thinking of putting 2 males and 7/8 females in my 3ftx18" tank.
by themselves.

and then putting another 2 males 6 girls in my 4ftx1ftx1ft tank by themsleves

leaving 6 males 9 girl which i'll sell...........

watcha think...

im heavy in the rocks....
and filtration

im on sunshine coast (maybe i can deliver to north brisbane)

you could buy 1m 2f (10cm each) off me for $50 if ur interested
theyll breed no probs if i get the sexes right.

(im not guranteening sex ratio since im not vent sexing them)

also maybe a 10 fish colony for $100
will breed well get $$$ for the fry
(i already will have 2 colonys)

If your really into breeding them then that sounds like a plan, if you feel you have too many then i would sell off a bunch of them. As long as you have tons of rockwork and over filter then i dont see a problem.

I just got two a couple days ago, never had them before (they were fish rescues) what can you tell me about them ? Any info would be great. I had thought they were just like a johanni but i guess not, from what i read today they are less aggressive ? I put them in a 72 gallon bow front with my other mbuna . You can PM me if you dont want to clutter up your thread LOL.

yeah i moved 2m 6f into a 3fter today.
so the other 24 are still in 6fter for the moment.
